Question:

What is one of your life dreams?

Answer:

To one day have a book published with moderate success (and hold a great big launch party, Sex and The City Season 5, Episode 5 style - whoop!) or at the very least have an article I've written featured by a well-known and respected publication; I've had work published on the Jazz FM website so I'm hoping if I work hard it'll be onwards and upwards from here.

Question:

Who do you look up to?

Answer:

Emma Gannon, a social media editor and journalist who writes the terrific Girl Lost in the City; it is an intelligent, hilarious and accessible blog with brilliantly composed posts and she has achieved a great deal in her career to date.

It has also given me the guts to 'write as I think' and pepper my blogs with a good old swear word every now and then, as Emma does so well in her blogs. Sometimes, only an obscenity will do (as long as it's surrounded by substance in my mind). Tonight I used the naughty words 'shit' and 'arse' in my post 'Feeling Foxy and Sweaty' without a second thought. Thank you Emma.

Question:

What would you like to change about today?

Answer:

Not much - I love Saturdays; but I would definitely change the cracking headache I woke up with, the little bugger that started yesterday afternoon, and I would make our great friend Mickey better so that he could enjoy his weekend and me, his gorgeous wife Maxine and Alex could go out as planned and live it up at The American Bar at The Savoy Hotel drinking cocktails and stuff our faces at Polpo.

Otherwise, the day was smashing and involved getting loads of stuff done at home, blog research, a long run, gorgeous food and beer at Teras in Wood Street with Alex and watching the MOTD highlights where Palace kicked off proceedings and stole a win against Burnley. Super Alan Pardew.

Have super weekends all.

Answer:

I'd like to return to New Zealand with my husband Alex for a long and epic adventure, as we did in 2012 when we travelled for 8 weeks, and go to all the amazing places left to discover that we couldn't squeeze in.

Time of my life.

Question:

What was your favourite part of today?

Answer:

I grabbed some lunch away from my desk [in a well-known eatery, no product placement here] and they played the entire 'In Between Dreams' album by Jack Johnson which made me think of living and travelling in Australia; I ate my lunch, wrote some cards, read up on today's fashion news, spoke to my better half and answered WhatsApp messages from friends, my big sis and my Dad who shared a cute photo of my nephew Fred sweeping up wintry leaves in the garden.

Productive, fashion-educational, nostalgic and communicating with special people. Just how I like my lunch. Food was involved too, as you would expect from a lunch break. I went back to work with a clearer head and ready to tackle whatever the afternoon threw at me.

Question:

In front of me is...

Answer:

My good mate MacBook Air - I'm staring at it right in the face. Oh sorry, you mean figuratively.

Well, the road ahead appears to be full of trips and slips that keep causing me to fall down and big boulders that block my way and are bloody hard to shift, but focusing on the positive stuff - like my husband, family, friends, exciting social stuff, gigs and the like (and the help of my bouncy new-and-smartly-budgeted-for trainers if I may say so myself) is giving me the strength and motivation to keep on going.
