Question:

What is one thing nobody knows about you*?

Answer:

I retain song lyrics with only a couple of listens required; after a few too many drinks (two) I fancy myself as a rap superstar and can recite the entire lyrics to MC Hammer's U Can't Touch This upon request - becoming especially magic on the mic with the 'It's Hammer go Hammer It's a Hammer yo Hammer and the rest go and play. ' bit.

*Caveat:

1. Close friends know this about me, unfortunately for them.

2. I am available for hire at parties, weddings, Christmas dos etc. Hire fee negotiable. Get in touch.

Question:

If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you choose?

Answer:

Please plop me immediately back on Mandraki Beach on the Island of Skiathos, Greece where I last was in 2013 walking along a sandy shore with warm waves gently lapping over my toes as the burgundy red sun set; listening to 40 Day Dream by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros on my iPod and knowing that my husband, an ice-cold beer and a book would await me upon my return to the sunlounger, I didn't have a care in the world.

Question:

What makes you angry?

Answer:

When another great British pub is shut down and converted into living space or a well-known (evil) supermarket chain - this gives me the right 'ump as I absolutely love a good boozer, believe they play an important role in our local urban and rural communities and form part of our rich heritage.

According to the Campaign for Real Ale, pubs are closing at a rate of 29 every week. This hurts my heart and worries my head.

Who did you last speak to over the phone?

Answer:

My gorgeous Mum this morning; I cherish every conversation we have and remain in awe that even though their house phone rings at least ten times an hour she answers every call as if it was her first of the day.

What is missing from your life?

Answer:

Any dress from the magnificent THREE FLOOR, like this effortless but stylish beauty which has the lovely name 'Lola Oh' and is a gorgeous petrol blue; I do hope we are acquainted soon.

Question:

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

Answer:

Just before Christmas last year when I visited White Hart Lane, home of the famous Tottenham Hotspur FC, for the first time in my life to watch them draw with the brilliant Crystal Palace FC.

It was a smashing day - spent with my better half and great mates, eating burgers, drinking pints and remembering good times with special people. The football was pretty good too.

Question:

What do you love about this season?

Answer:

Crisp, clear days and winter sun, unlimited opportunities to give stylish layering a go and the excuse to hibernate by night every now and then - particularly when brilliant TV drama's on offer like tonight's Wolf Hall, adapted from the exquisite books by Hilary Mantel.

Today is the 20 January 2015.

Question:

What is at the top of your To Do list right now?

Answer:

My To Do List is a treacherous mountain of tasks to climb over and is compartmentalised as I'm sure most people's are ('Work!' 'House!' 'Blog!' 'Health!' 'Social Stuff!' 'Boring Admin!' etc); currently at the top is 'Put Christmas Presents Away and Write Thank you Cards' (yes, I'm aware Christmas Day was nearly a month ago and yes I know you can send an email, but I like the old-fashioned way).

My lovely gifts are safely stored in big Christmas bags and there is an & Other Stories voucher burning a hole in the bottom of one of them. I must hurry, there is brilliant new fashion to gain possession of.
